Ceramics

Sarah E. Philip creates small scale, carved ceramic sculptures, and dinnerware. Pieces are hand-built using double pinch pots or slabs or are wheel thrown. Items are carved as part of a meditative practice following either a specific path or meandering lines. At times holes, divots, and scratches disrupt the surface, highlighting changes in direction on the highly textured surface.
